Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Montreal, Quebec, Canada!

Montreal -- the Tango City along the majestic St. Lawrence River -- takes up about 60 square miles of the Ile de Montreal, and ranks as a global magnet for both business and pleasure. Cosmopolitan and steeped in emphasis on cultural arts, Montreal is home to the renowned Cirque du Soleil and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. Annual extravaganzas include the Festival International de Jazz, the Just for Laughs Festival, and the International Dragon Boat Race, along with myriad colorful street events. Montreal teems with architectural intrigue, and the protestant architect of the 3,800-seat Neo-Gothic Basilique Notre Dame-de-Montreal was so taken with results of his design work that he converted to Catholicism. Crescent Street, with its balconies and terraces, provides a prime avenue for soaking up Montreal's international atmosphere, accented by sleek vehicles, beautiful people, a melting pot of languages, and plenty of tango to fill the air. The recreational park of Old Port offers a genuine window on the St. Lawrence, with cruises, excursions, exhibits, events, and more.

Pole des Rapids, on the southwest part of the island, is an immense playground with bike paths and nature trails stretching from Old Port to the Lachine Museum. Cable car rides to the top of Montreal Tower provides sweeping views of the entire city. A multitude of attractions are as varied as Exporail, Canada's largest railroad museum, the world-class Botanical Gardens, the Insectarium, Maison St-Gabriel, a 17th Century stone farmhouse, and Dorchester Square, with its underground burial vaults and a monument to the Boer War. Nightlife unfolds in a wave of newer haunts such as the Quartier Latin and other bars and bistros of Saint-Denis Street. In a restored downtown building, the Le Square Phillips Hotel & Suites offers apartment-style quarters, the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, Montreal's flagship hotel with the renowned Beaver Club and the Les Voyageurs bar, has undergone a stunning face-lift, and the Hotel W Montreal brings new levels of luxury. Altogether, among more than 350 establishments and 25,600 rooms in Greater Montreal, with 20,800 rooms in the city proper, some 160 establishments and 15,200 rooms are downtown.
